Absolutely. Complete beginners are very welcome. Lessons start from the basics of holding the sticks and playing your first grooves, at a pace that suits you.

No. You can learn a great deal with a practice pad, a pair of sticks and a metronome. Our post on essential gear for drum practice explains what to look for.

Both work well. 30 minutes is a good fit for younger students and for building a steady weekly habit. 60 minutes gives more room for songs, reading and exam preparation. You can change as you go.

Lessons are paid in advance by bank transfer. The payment details are on your booking page.

Cancel more than 24 hours before your lesson and there is no charge. Cancellations inside 24 hours, and missed lessons, are charged as normal.

Yes. Catch-up lessons can be booked through your booking page.

Yes, Trinity graded drum exams are available if you would like to work towards them. They are completely optional, and plenty of students simply learn for the love of playing.

For students under 18, a parent or guardian books and pays for lessons. Parents are welcome to stay for the first lesson.

A practice pad is nearly silent, and there are good quiet options for a full kit too, such as mesh heads and low volume cymbals. Have a look at setting up to practise at home.
