Who we are
Essex Drum School provides drum lessons in Upminster, Essex. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us at ben@essexdrumschool.com.
What we collect
- Names (the student's, and a parent or guardian's for students under 18)
- Contact details, such as email address
- Lesson bookings, including dates, times and cancellations
- Payment references for bank transfers
Why we collect it
To arrange your lessons and take payment for them. We use it only for that purpose, and to keep the accounts we are legally required to keep.
Where it is stored
Your information is stored securely in Google Workspace, which runs our booking system and email.
Who sees it
Only us. We never sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are a student, and then for six years afterwards for our accounts.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email ben@essexdrumschool.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
This website and cookies
This website does not use cookies, so there is no cookie banner. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is cookieless and does not track you across other websites.
